How amazing is this coat? I fell in love with it in Manchester - post to follow - and I just needed it. I've been after a boyfriend/cocoon coat for ages now, I even made a shopcade list of my favourites, but when I saw this, I knew I had found the one I wanted.
On Friday night (delayed post I know) me and David went for some food before I went back to Leeds. We just popped around the corner from my house to a pub called The Farmhouse, I'd not been in for years but recently they have had a change of chef and we'd both heard good things. We ordered a sharing starter which turned out to be huge, I was so full after eating it all, I literally barely touched my main. Luckily we both went for a light flat bread and a panini so it wasn't too bad, I did manage to eat a lot of delicious sweet potato fries, yummm!

I've lost my tripod top. Blerrrrghhh. So I can't connect my camera to my tripod - how bloody annoying!! This is my outfit I wore around town today, I really love this shirt, it's so comfy and I love the colour and pattern. I just paired it with a black lace skirt, topshop hiking boots and black fringed back pack.

Yesterday, we had a fab trip to town. While Tori had a job induction, me, Sonia and Ashley had a mooch around town to get a couple of bits. We also took full advantage of all the free stuff that Leeds had to offer, because we're poor students and free stuff is thee best.

Ashley loved being dragged around all the girls shops, Victoria's Secret opened in Trinity yesterday so we obviously had to have a trip in there, twice. To be honest, I didn't see any bra's in particular that I loved which was a great thing because I can not afford £40 a pop, I don't even think that they do my bra size, but I'm not sure what a DDD size is like. 

As you can see from the top picture I finally got round to buying some flowers and a watering can, for the obvious reasons... (how cute does it look!)

On the way to Victoria's Secret we saw that Superdry was giving away free lip glaze (worth £7), makeovers and manicures, we obviously had to pop in. I got a mini makeover, I tried the Lipstick in shade 'Electric Pink' which I definitely am contemplating buying, I love the colour. I also had a bit of bronzer/blusher on my cheecks (their bronzer brush is so soft) and some base eye shadow. The free lip glaze came in shade 'Supply Red Colour' and I was super excited to try this out, to find out it's broken. wow. I'm off to try get another one today and I'll report back to you!

Avon Mega Effects Mascara. What an invention. 

I first saw this mascara on the cover of the latest edition of Avon mag at David's Grandma's house and was totally amazed. So when we saw the Avon van in Leeds City Centre, I went over to see if they had a sample or tester that so I could see the real thing and they gave me one. That's right £10 mascara that I was going to buy, I got for free! YES! One problem, I had to sign up to be an Avon Rep, I'm still debating if I want/can actually do it.

I still need to try this product and I will give you a full review when I have use it properly! But how exciting does it look, a whole new revolution to mascara, providing panoramic volume, apparently.

The mascara is a lot smaller than I imagined it to be, however just as cool! I made an awesome gif, get me, to show you how the brush rocks to bend to the desired angle.

Bad news incoming... My Grandma sadly passed away last week, so I've had a terrible week and it didn't help that I was ill the next couple of days either! Grammy had an awful illness called Lewy Body Disease which is a form of dementia closely associated with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Diease which I think affects the brain and the motor skills of the body so I suppose it's reassuring that she isn't suffering any more. 

When we were clearing out her house and sorting through her stuff, I got to check out loads of cute old photographs and I got to know a lot more info about my family history, I'm hopefully going to make a family tree for my mum, which will be really cool! I also managed to grab a couple of items from her wardrobe before we sieved through of what to bin and what to donate. This midi skirt being one of the items! I love this skirt, reminds me of my Grammy and I also love the length and flow to it, I definitely need to invest in some more skirts like this. Its a tad big around the waist so I've paired it with a brown belt to hold it up and one of my mums black tops. I really like the style of this black top, however its REALLY old and used to have a glitter flower on it, which is why I nicely included a boob shot in the photos for you ... lucky buggers, hehe. 

I actually didn't want to wear this with my converse but because I'm back at home for longer than I planned, I haven't got much stuff with me however they did the job nicely.

This was an ideal outfit to wear for David's band practice, something long enough to cover my legs sat down and comfy to wear. My new leather jacket made an appearance too, that's right I am now FINALLY an owner of a leather jacket, I don't know how I've managed without one until now.

OOTD and Deaf Havana gig

Hola guys!

On a very sunny Saturday, Me and David had a day trip to Manchester to do a bit of retail window shopping and to go see one of our favourite bands, Deaf Havana.

On Valentines day last year, I had no idea who these guys were and David was planning to take me to one of their gigs however, when I searched them in youtube and clicked on an old song of theirs, which was really heavy and not my cup of tea, a sigh of relief as he bought me Nero tickets instead, hehe. But since their first EPs they've changed and are not as heavy/screamery, well just more bearable for me anyway probably because I've fallen in love with them. We saw them at Leeds Festival 2012 and again on Saturday for a more intimate acoustic unplugged gig which was amazing!

You should definitely give them a listen as they are such great musicians, experimenting with different instruments (the singer, James did anyway in the acoustic set, so I expect more of that on their new album which is coming out September time) and their lyrics just brilliant.

Deaf Havana's support act were 'Big Sixes' and this was the first both of us had heard of them and they were actually insanely good. Definitely expect big things from them, their vocals were just brilliant and their overall sound is just so different and very catchy. Check out their music here, you'll understand what I mean. 

Deaf Havana were just as good if not better! Their stage setup was so cute, candles around their set with very minimal lighting and 3 lamps. It made the whole gig feel so much more intimate, more like a show than a gig.

It was such a brilliant and happy gig, everyone just sat in silence and enjoyed and embraced the sound of brilliant music. Even though I booked our tickets at 9am on the release date of tickets, we were sat right at the back at the top in the Royal Northern College of Music, but we still had a pretty good view!

OOTD #2 and Vintage Purchase

Okay, I've totally ignored my blog, I know, I'm a bad person. 
My phone's ran out of internet and my wireless at home has broken (that's right I'm at home for the week yay) so my brother hogs the internet.

Anyway, a quick update. I think my diet is going well... I've not weighed myself since yet but I feel better. I must say though, it's so hard when David's sat there stuffing his face with food and I'm drinking my shakes, no wonder I got chubby! Bloomin' comfort eating is the worst.

I thought I might do a little outfit post I really should do more of these but I forget or I'm running too late to take pictures.
I wore this outfit when I was back in Leeds to spoons for a couple of casual drinks with my friends, so I wasn't too bothered about being too dressy (excuse that I look gross, my camera really isn't flattering)

Have any of you been watching Mr Selfridge on ITV (Sundays 9pm)?
It's amazing, you need to see it. It's just full of love, affairs and shows what life really was like back in 1908; when women were starting to gain freedom and rights.
I especially love the ladies dresses and their hair styles, I think this is where the idea came from, I'm definitely going to try do something similar tomorrow.

I also went to this adorable vintage fair in Leeds at the Corn Exchange the other week, they often hold cute vintage days so should check out when they are having their next one. Me and my best friend went for a look round, I was on the hunt for an embellished collar shirt or a cute rucksack or both... Instead a got my new favourite shirt.
I have a massive collection of shirts, I live in them and I just couldn't resist buying this one.

These pictures don't give it justice and I don't have an outfit shot with me wearing the shirt, other than this one of me being overly happy about wearing it before going out. 

Guess who's coming to my home town tomorrow, that's right, only Kate Middleton. I'm skipping uni this week to be home to see her (it's also my mums birthday). So hopefully I will get to at least look at her in the flesh, maybe even meet her? oh my, I'm definitely taking my camera so I will update you tomorrow with what went on! I'm so excited!!

Treat Tuesday and OOTD

OK. I tell a little fib, I actually had treat Monday, but that's not the same is it?

Me and Hayley went fabric shopping in the market as she needs crafty bits for her Uni Artwork and I joined her because I'm planning on making DIY Scrunchies. Yep, 80s all the way. Blog post coming up, depending when I get round to hand making them- a sewing machine would be ideal, why didn't I write it on my Christmas list!

My goodies of the day

Cute bath bomb was on sale for £1.50, I'm not entirely sure what its made of/got in but it smells really nice! So be a nice treat for me and David when I get home

 I also got some tongue bar for £1 each, says it all really... 

The bars were way too long and the gem scratched the roof of my mouth
So I've taken the bottom ball off and  place it on an old bar. Made the best out of it, aye!

 I also made a pit stop off at Debenhams, to try the new Roberto Cavalli Perfume

Just Cavalli is the new Roberto Cavalli fragrance. I am a huge fan of the first Cavalli fragrance with the Orange flower, Pink Peppercorn and Roasted Tonka Bean notes which give off a really sweet yet sophisticated smell.

But I was a bit let down when I smelt the new fragrance as I'm not that keen on it, it smells a bit too flowery for my liking with Magnetic Tiare Flower and Drizzling Neroli notes.

OOTD: Casual uni wear

Well the weather is terrible today in Leeds, I've been to uni for a couple of hours today, so I thought I'd snap my outfit :)

I love to and normally dress in comfortable clothes, so I stick to comfy leggings, but today I decided to brave the wild side. By wearing my old jeggings which are too small on the bum so I'm forever pulling them up and they were uncomfortable but since coming home I've slumped on black leggings. I also have put my hair in small Top Knot, which I really like, even though you can hardly see it in the photograph. I'm also in dire need of a fringe cut!
